Katan
Ellsworth and Katan collaborate on a daily basis. Katan is an author, playwright, and peformer. Her memoir My One-Night Stand With Cancer is an honoree of the 2006 ALA's Stonewall Book Award in Non-Fiction, a finalist for the 2006 Lambda Literary Award in the category Belles Lettres, and winner of the 2006 Judy Grahn Prize in Nonfiction. Her memoir has been named 2005 Top Ten Books by The Advocate and received the prestigious Star Review from the Library Journal. Katan also performs in the stage version of My One-Night Stand With Cancer (a one-woman show) and she runs Topless 10K races to raise money for breast cancer research. She is also the star of the award winning video Hot Air: Keep Keep Yourself Alive, 2006.
